At the Park event in Coronado we heard," but we don't live in Chula Vista," Totally okay come join in the fun and learning and sharing that this society has been doing since founded.
We started with 5 then 6 then 19 then we slowly, slowly grew to what we have today which is again near 100 in members. Our highest was 118 at one point. Nina S. & Co, we were so excited when we almost hit 120. Nina S we sure miss you and many of the other Genealogical founding members.
May you all RIP.
Five of the founding members were cousins whom had never met before it made it a lot more fun.
This Saturday we are having a Holocaust speaker that filled the library recently and had to turn away people.

Chula Vista Civic Center Branch Library
(365 F Street, Chula Vista, CA 91910)
Meet Ruth Goldschmiedova Sax.
She is standing next to the dress that her Grandmother wore during the time she was in Oederan. She never took it off and every week she would bend over and the Nazis painted an X and stripe down her backside. The dress was initially given to her in Auschwitz.
Sandra Scheller and Ruth Sax are coming to talk about Ruth's experience during the Holocaust. She was a 10 year old when her family was taken by the Nazis and sent to concentration camps.
Sandra is Ruth's daughter and has written a book about her mother's experiences. They will have their book for sale after the program.
Please note the change of DAY (Saturday) and TIME (1:00pm)!
Please register soon if you plan to attend this meeting so that we may better plan for this event.
