Chula Vista Genealogical Society Annual Picnic June 27, 2018, Wednesday 11:00am-3pm 4397 Allen School Lane Please register if you plan to attend so we can plan for all the fixings! June is the month for our annual picnic in lieu of our regular general meeting. The meeting starts at 11AM with a picnic lunch, followed by presentations. Attendance is free but we ask that you bring a dish for pot luck, perhaps an old family favorite, and a $5 donation to cover cost of hotdogs, brats, fixings and beverages furnished by the society. Questions on dish needs: call Ana C. at 619 781-8441 The theme will be "A Celebration of The Life of Wanda Brock.“ Wanda, a long time member, officer and committee member of the Society passed away on January 7, 2018 and had wanted her passing to be celebrated not with sorrow but instead with a party with lots of laughter and joy. She was know for her love of laughter. So if you have a story or a rememberance of Wanda bring it along to share. Members of The Way International Bible Research Ministry which Wanda was also a long time member will be attending and will present a little service for Wanda. Parking will be available on the property with assistants to help you park. If overflow parking is need there is usually plenty of parking on the street. Golf cart service will be available to transport you and your belongings to and from the parking area if needed. Click on this link to assess a flyer for this event.
